Bootcamp: Learn More About Advertising in Twelve Weeks Than Four Years In College
An internship at The Voice is your opportunity to labor, learn and live advertising. The school of advertising curriculum is based on traditional and classic advertising and principles. You week consists of online and onsite reading; studying; individual and team projects; meetings and learning sessions.
Boot Camp is 180 hours long, or about 15 hours for 12 weeks. Interns must get college credit from their university. We do not accept interns who are working “for the experience” or for pay. We hire — but it is not guaranteed — the best interns as apprentices for $20/hour.
“I was challenged everyday to develop a FIO (figure it out) work ethic, all while forming great relationships.”Danielle G.
“During my time at The Voice I learned many different aspects of the advertising industry and attain real-world experience.”Ian M
In advertising, copywriters and art directors work as a team. This is a creatively challenging role, and you will be asked to wear many hats while helping to craft concepts and full executions. This will involve creating striking layouts for web and offline experiences and writing outstanding copy.
Great account executives are like gold. Your job will be to keep projects on schedule, on time and on budget. You will learn the ins and outs of account management and be a key player. You will be involved in client meetings, and make sure that nothing falls through the cracks.
Are you passionate about social media, influencing and engaging with customers? Do you love social media, blogging, tweeting? Are you a great writer, inquisitive and a news junkie? If you have answered yes to these questions, then you may be our next social media and PR intern. Your job will be to plan and execute social media campaigns to boost engagement and traffic for the Voice and our clients’ targeted audiences. You will write press releases, and get stories in traditional media as well as social media. You will increase fans, likes, and followers and have an awesome time doing it.
This is what you will learn
